347 Stainless Steel
UNS S34700

Type 347 Stainless Steel is a high temperature stainless, which contains columbium as a stabilizing element.  When compared to typical 18-8 types of Stainless Steels, Type 347 possesses superior intergranular corrosion resistance. Type 347 is used in applications where intermitted heating between 800º and 1600º F is experienced. Type 347 Stainless Steel applications include aircraft exhausts, furnace stacks, jet engine parts, heat exchangers, and high temperature refinery processing equipment.
