Type 304/304L Stainless Steel is a good general purpose grade of stainless steel, and is one of the most commonly used grades. Type 304/304L is known for its resistance to atmospheric corrosion and corrosion from many types of organic/inorganic chemicals. Type 304/304L is very common in food and beverage processing, as well as the dairy industry.
It is the policy of CMC Letco Ind to stock and use only dual rated type 304/304L Stainless Steels. This provides our customers with the advantage of the higher corrosion resistance of type 304L plus the higher mechanical properties of type 304.
